At EastOasis, authenticity is not a marketing claim — it is the foundation of everything we do. Every piece in our collection is carefully evaluated before it is listed, and we stand behind each item with full transparency about its origin, age, and condition.

Our Sourcing Process

We source directly from trusted networks built over years of specialist experience. Our pieces come from:

• Private estate collections and family heirlooms
• Established antique dealers and auction houses in Asia and Europe
• Field sourcing in regions of origin, including Southeast Asia and the Himalayan corridor
• Specialist bead and gemstone fairs attended by serious collectors worldwide

Every source is vetted. We do not purchase from unknown or unverified suppliers, and we do not list pieces we cannot stand behind.

How We Verify Authenticity

Our evaluation process draws on years of hands-on experience with vintage beads and gemstones. For each piece, we assess:

• Physical characteristics: Surface patina, wear patterns, tool marks, and material composition consistent with age and origin.
• Provenance documentation: Where available, we retain and share any accompanying paperwork, photographs, or collection histories.
• Comparative analysis: Each piece is assessed against known authentic examples from established reference collections and specialist literature.
• Expert consultation: For exceptional or rare pieces, we consult with independent specialists before listing.

What We Disclose

We believe collectors deserve complete information. Every listing includes:

• Honest assessment of age and origin
• Accurate description of condition, including any repairs, restorations, or natural imperfections
• Provenance details where known
• Clear, high-resolution photography showing the piece from multiple angles

If something is uncertain, we say so. We would rather lose a sale than mislead a collector.

Certificates of Authenticity

For significant pieces, we provide a written Certificate of Authenticity detailing the item’s description, estimated age, origin, and condition. This document accompanies the piece and supports its long-term value as a collectible.
